Senior PR Manager

PipelineDeals seeks a self-motivated, high-judgement, well-connected, and experienced public relations Manager to drive communications programs. This includes driving proactive PR programs and working with top tier business and technology press. The right candidate possesses extensive media relations and social media experience, is an expert at writing, can exercise high-judgment while acting quickly, and is comfortable working with senior executives.

The Sr. PR Manager will work with PipelineDeals executive team to develop and execute thought leadership messaging, PR strategy, and communications plans. He or she is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution and has a strong track record developing relationships with top-tier business and technology press.

This person knows about storytelling and lives to get the best coverage possible. The successful candidate understands the business and CRM industry we play in, has critical relationships with media and knows how to connect the dots to tell the best story possible. He/she is an excellent writer and communicator and knows how to leverage customer advocacy, product marketing and industry events to deliver integrated global campaigns that move the needle. The primary objective of this position is to position PipelineDeals as a leader in the market and go-to-recommended CRM solutions for SMB customers through business, trade and vertical industry media coverage. This position will report to the VP of Sales & Marketing.

This role is based in Seattle and will require periodic travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with top-tier business and technology journalists and influencers
  • Regularly interact with senior leadership to develop and communicate PipelineDeals top stories and strategic messages
  • Write and edit press releases, blogs, pitches, thought leadership content, and communications plans
  • Manage all owned social media channels and SEO content
  • Monitor competitors and their PR activities and respond as appropriate.
  • Drive and develop proactive/reactive messaging and Q&A documents for announcements and product launch efforts for the Product and Engineering team.
  • Create communications on behalf of executives, including town hall decks, blogs (thought leadership and announcements), company announcements, videos, employee roundtables, some presentations, etc.
  • Create key messages tied to company mission, vision, brand positioning and competitive advantages in the marketplace.
  • Create and manage KPIs for the global PR program – sharing consistent updates to internal executive and leadership teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of public relations experience
  • Experience managing media relations for high-profile technology brands, and a network of media contacts
  • Demonstrated success working with senior leaders in high-profile situations
  • Passionate about excellence in writing and verbal communications
  • Ability to set strategy and execute flawlessly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in B2B and/or SaaS/CRM PR roles
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters
