Senior Email Marketing Manager

Sr. Email Marketing Manager will build and drive lead nurture and customer lifecycle strategy across the company. You will be responsible for running and optimizing cross-channel programs (including in-app experience, notifications and email), with the objective of growing customer acquisition, upsell, expansion, retention and usage of PipelineDeals.

We’re looking for a seasoned professional with a track record of translating top-level business objectives into strategies, and driving tangible growth through email marketing improvements and in-app experiences. You are a hands-on marketer who loves standing up new customer engagement programs and is adept at prioritizing areas to scale or automate marketing efforts. You also have an eye for great creative and copy, coupled with excellent customer instincts. Finally, you will relentlessly innovate on behalf of customers, and embrace culture of rapid experimentation, measurement, and iteration.

Responsibilities — What you’ll do:

  • Lead the development of comprehensive strategies to driving new customer acquisition and customer engagement goals, working across Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Customer Care, and Sales teams.
  • Devise, launch, test and optimize automated scalable nurture campaigns across the customer lifecycle and within multiple channels including email, push notifications, and in-app messages.
  • Build assets in Act-On including automated nurture emails, landing pages, forms, progressive profiling.
  • Manage and optimize lead scoring and nurturing models for account based programs. Build and maintain an optimized contact database segmented by industry verticals and ICP.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign results across all channels to understand the effectiveness of strategies and tactics for improving lead nurture, customer key engagement and retention metrics.
  • Use data to measure and understand customer behavior and develop actionable marketing strategies based on those insights. Continue to test and improve response rates and business KPIs.
  • Provide regular cadence of reporting with insights and recommendations.
  • Develop, own and present to senior leadership on key performance metrics around customer acquisition, retention, and usage.
  • Provide sales team with an ongoing call-list of qualified outbound prospects.
  • Collaborate closely with other parts of the company, including Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Customer Care, and Sales teams to develop customer-obsessed journey and marketing strategies.


  • Please note that marketing automation experience with Act-On, Eloqua, Hubspot, or Marketo is required for this position. Please highlight this in your resume to be considered as a candidate.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing lifecycle marketing strategies that delivers on key acquisition, engagement, and retention goals.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (Act-On or Hubspot preferred) and CRM tools.
  • Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, specifically A/B testing and ROI analysis.
  • Web analytics tools, methodologies, and advertising tracking technologies such as Google Tag Manager and familiarity with HTML.
  • An eye for strong creative, and experience developing world-class consumer messaging and copy.
  • Thinks outside the box and can suggest creative solutions in-line with business objectives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and proven ability to influence senior business executives.
  • Relentlessly high standards.
  • Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution.
  • BA/BS degree in Business/Marketing or Communications related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience marketing a subscription service is preferred, but not required.
