ROLE SUMMARY

Head of marketing will mentor and motivate a team of five marketers to achieve lead and conversion targets, brand differentiation, content creation and distribution, pricing and packaging, go to market of new products, and optimized budget allocation to multiple channels. A close collaboration with head of sales and head of customer success will be leveraged for for success on shared goals.

Important: A minimum of ten years marketing experience including demonstrable experience in SaaS marketing, lead generation, paid and organic search, product marketing, and marketing automation systems is required to be considered for this position.

1) Brand Development

PipelineDeals is a leading CRM for ease of use backed by reliable customer support that is looking to continually differentiate its products and services in a crowded field. The Head of marketing will be responsible for refining value proposition and identifying unique positioning for both prospects and existing customers. This work will include updating our marketing site to integrate our brand while improving SEO and conversion metrics.

2) Lead Generation and Conversion

Increase lead and trial generation from multiple channels including organic, paid search, pay per lead, partner channels, PR, and content marketing. The quality of leads should drive to increased conversion as trial customers engage with our product.

3) Pricing, Packaging and Go to Market

PipelineDeals greatest success has come through understanding the needs of our current and future customers to identify and deliver the right products with SaaS pricing strategies that optimizes growth. We look to the head of marketing to know our customer and deliver value to their businesses.

4) Vertical Marketing

The head of marketing will develop strategies to aggressively expand customer growth in industries of focus, leveraging a variety of tactics and communication channels to deepen value and relationships with customers in these industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization to a clear brand vision. Be the strategic driver of company positioning, brand proposition, personality, voice, design, and execution across all touch points.
  • Manage and mentor a team of passionate marketing professionals including demand generation, content marketing, and product marketing managers.
  • Become an expert on PipelineDeals audiences – why they buy, what they care about, how they view the world, what prompts them to act.
  • Discover what will best help our customers grow their customer relationships and enable us to deliver that to them. This includes a thorough understanding of customer product awareness, adoption and engagement.
  • Orchestrate go-to-market strategies
  • Optimize demand generation strategy, including plans for vertical industries and multiple market segments and channels.
  • Design marketing and lead generation strategy to generate sales funnel to meet revenue plan objectives.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure alignment on strategy, resources, and KPIs.
  • Oversee the evolution of the digital marketing programs from design, messaging, and content strategy
  • Measure and report on key metrics, including marketing performance measurement, process definition, and marketing systems and data.
  • Develop & manage a $1M+ marketing budgets and forecasts.
  • Contract and manage external vendors for PR, content, creative, search, and brand efforts as required.
  • Track, measure, and analyze all initiatives for ROI.

Qualifications

  • Important: A minimum of ten years marketing experience including demonstrable experience in SaaS marketing, lead generation, paid and organic search, product marketing, and marketing automation systems is required to be considered for this position.
  • MBA or BA/BS with equivalent working experience.
  • 10+ years leadership experience, including product management and digital marketing experience, in organizations with innovative B2B software solutions.
  • Exceptional data-driven marketing skills and the ability to use data to plan and execute strategically.
  • Experience implementing B2B SaaS software marketing campaigns, pricing and packaging programs that drive customer engagement and retention
  • A demonstrated track record of brand strategy and brand execution
  • Experience in dynamically allocating resources and investments to areas of highest return.
  • Strong financial acumen, with a demonstrated and thorough understanding of profit and loss, pricing, and how to maximize revenue.
  • Experience in working effectively across all levels of an organization to develop a highly engaged and motivated team.
  • Experience with sales and marketing automation software such Act-On, Hubspot, Marketo, PipelineDeals or other CRM’s to generate, capture, nurture, track, and report on marketing qualified leads, opportunities, and ROI.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – must have both an interest and skill in analyzing and making meaning out of data and translating that into actionable changes.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, time management, and project management skills.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail, operate effortlessly in a highly dynamic environment and leverage business acumen to make sound decisions.
